Moti Yogev (born 22 February 1956) is an Israeli politician who currently serves as a member of the Knesset for the Jewish Home. ==Biography== Born in Haifa, Yogev studied at the Mercaz HaRav yeshiva, and also gained an MA in Political Science from the University of Haifa. He served as commander of the Maglan Special Forces unit in the IDF, and was also secretary general of the Israeli branch of Bnei Akiva and deputy chairman of Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. He was placed ninth on the Jewish Home list for the 2013 Knesset elections, and entered the Knesset as the party won 11 seats. In November 2015, during an interview with Army Radio, Yogev proposed that the government should construct a detention facility like the one in the Negev Desert for holding illegal migrants, and use it for incarcerating family members of convicted Palestinian terrorists as a means of deterring future attackers.
